At Treats and Feasts, my main goal is to get children cooking with their families. Some ways we can facilitate this is to help parents become aware of how their children (no matter their size) can help in the grocery shopping, meal planning, food preparation for meals and snacktime, and as they get older, getting them to help cook meals.
By getting the community involved and offering classes at community venues, we can change the way our children eat now and in the future. These classes can be held in churches schools, personal homes, or other facility that has a kitchen or kitchenette.
Involving your children in the cooking process, gives them great joy and satisfaction knowing they helped prepare what they are eating. This allows for opportunity to learn about the benefits of different foods, how to follow directions by using a recipe, and early mathematical skills.
Let's be the change you want to be, for our children's futures! Contact us to find out more about our cooking classes.
